Grand Rapids Artisans Guild — Planning Meeting on December 16

Grand Rapids Artisans Guild — Planning Meeting on December 16

Grand Rapids is home to an incredible number of woodworkers, metalworkers, leathersmiths, and artisans who practice the kinds of crafts that have deep roots and rich histories. These skills are strengthened when shared—through mentorship, collaboration, and community.

That’s why we're excited to invite you to the Grand Rapids Artisans Guild Planning Meeting on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at 6:00pm, hosted at Grand River Makerspace.

This meeting is an open conversation about forming a local artisan guild—one designed to support both beginners and seasoned craftspeople. We want to hear your ideas, learn what you would value in such a group, and shape a community where traditional craft can thrive.

A future guild could:
• Share techniques, tools, and resources
• Host demos, discussions, and workshops
• Support artisans at all skill levels
• Preserve traditional craft knowledge
• Build connections between makers across West Michigan

This is just the beginning—and your voice matters in shaping what comes next.
