Valentine’s Day is about more than just a gift — it’s about intention. This year, we’re offering something a little different: a custom-engraved, heart-shaped wooden keepsake box, made right here at Grand River Makerspace.
This limited-run item is available as a pre-order fundraiser, helping us support community education, tools, and creative programming — while giving you a meaningful, handmade piece you can keep for years.
💝 The Heart Box: How It’s Made
Each heart-shaped keepsake box is produced using the same tools and workflows our members use every day:

CNC Router: The box is precision-cut on our CNC router for clean edges and perfect fit.

Laser Engraving: Every lid is custom engraved with names, dates, or a short message using our CO₂ laser.

Hand Finished: Boxes are lightly sanded and prepped by our team before pickup.
Because this is a pre-order, we’re able to batch production efficiently, reduce waste, and keep costs lower — which means more support goes directly back into the makerspace.
